About
The Black Business Relief Fund is our collective effort to provide grants up to $5,000 to as many existing Black entrepreneurs in Mississippi as possible. HPC uses the word entrepreneurs to also include Black farmers, artists, and creatives. Black communities have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. Several of the federal relief programs have not prioritized Black Americans which has increased the inequalities in our country. Black entrepreneurs across Mississippi provide key products and services to improve the quality of life while preserving our culture. The research shows us that overall small businesses are the foundation of the United States economy. Employing nearly half the American workforce, businesses like yours keep our neighborhoods vibrant and make them feel like home. Funded by our philanthropic and corporate partners, we hope these grant funds will help your business survive and thrive through this time of uncertainty.
